Namibia, located in Southern Africa, is officially known as the Republic of Namibia. Namibia is a member of the United Nations, the Southern African Development Community, Commonwealth of Nations and the African Union. Other than significant deposits of diamonds, rich mineral resources of Namibia include uranium, zinc, tin, lead, silver, tungsten and copper. Fishing is the fastest growing economic sector of Namibia in terms of employment and export earnings.
